During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. LMM很有导演天赋耶，交叉剪辑玩的也是游刃有余，加菲的少年感活脱将Jonathan的才气演绎出了歌舞青春般的活力气场，宽街魅力与音乐剧生生不息的生命力，也在Jon短暂又热情的一生里被诠释得很具感染力，每个音符都像是他对而立之年的无情挑衅与热忱期待
30岁时最好也最让人绝望的一句话就是：你很棒，继续加油。加菲的造型太像大山了
一般吧，感觉还不如la la land 好看呢，就新加的第二幕那首歌那段还行，其他就普通。还是真事儿改编，他的牛逼我是一点没看出来，就觉得挺自私的。
这部电影没有全然采用那一套常规的“有志者事竟成”理论，相反，它指出了一个艺术家想要被认同是异常艰难的，他需要付出巨大代价，付出时间、金钱、爱情，最后还可能输给命运。电影对梦想的质问也充满哲学寓意：究竟是因为热爱，还是惧怕？我想这是一种习惯，更是一种不甘。“梦想”与“自由”听起来都是遥不可及的概念，但是你努力的每一天，可能都是走向成功日的倒数。
片尾音乐好听。电影不好看。虽然知道是基于艺术界的真人真事，自己对耳边充斥着ticktick声音的感受感触也很深，但是我还是过于厌倦于看这些现实和梦想的冲突的电影了。女方想为了男主差点放弃工作的时候让我有一丝丝不适，不过还好最终还是选择了自己的事业。

惊喜加菲 开场就炸
林聚聚在电影里铺了很好的一段路。他没有试图进入音乐剧改编电影的怪圈，而是运用自己作为音乐剧作人的力量，把电影改编成了音乐剧。我看了很多音乐电影，多是用夸张和戏剧化的视觉表现去扩展音乐剧被舞台限制的想象力。但林聚聚一直把重心放在TTB上，放在乔纳森自己所讲述的故事上。我的感觉是花了两个小时看了一部新视角的TTB音乐剧。这种模式是我第一次见，也让我感觉特别新奇。
