The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 华纳公开自嘲，估计也知道重启捞不着好，让尼奥复活，等于就是把前面的故事又整一遍，不过熟悉的墨菲斯、史密斯都变了样，能帅能打的尼奥胡子拉碴，朝气全无，像是从强威克的片场直接过来的，双掌一出，大招即来，集体怀个旧，真不如拍猫。
我这是何苦哇！我这是何苦！从头到尾情节不知所云，就为了看主角恋爱脑上头不停地玩“你是风儿我是沙缠缠绵绵到天涯”吗？打戏一开始还应付一下，最后连应付也没了，直接手挡子弹，最后河濑直美式大逆光特写，真是不知道该心疼已经打不动的主角还是该心疼我
其实槽点比起其他一些狗尾续貂不是太多，这片子最大的槽点就是他压根不应该存在，主创自己也很清楚一上来就吐槽华纳和“子弹时刻”做好了“挨打要立正”的态度，前作场景塞入到爆。剧情方面前半截序章+吐槽+卖情怀，后半截哒哒哒打打打，但是架不住动作戏场景场面全面拉胯，几处插科打诨很蠢很不Matrix，尤其最后一场战斗飙车满天ai坠楼给我整乐了，我还以为在看丧尸片，就崔妮蒂拉尼奥那一下还挺惊艳。综合一下先给个三星，5.7分有点冤，谁让他叫黑客帝国呢，另：预感到后两部可能会更差。
开玩笑，看到neo和trinity重逢就值五颗星了好伐！
5.0最好的居然是游戏开发那段，吐槽华纳，道出前三部成功的原因和第四部拉夸的原因；那段配乐也不错，跟Neo抑郁的心境很搭。
这是一部炒冷饭中夹杂着导演阉割之后对世界的寂寞妥协，从前高歌猛进反抗自由猛干奥利给，如今中年油腻得过且过躺平求再做5分钟梦，荷尔蒙随着衰老最终都会让一切变得的索然无味，反抗的意义何在，还不如珍惜当初那把距离我只有0.05公分的命中注定，你以为是二选一，殊不知到头来时间教会你“我全都要！” 动作烂透极致，废话多到最后编剧都只能草草中二收场，气功用的起飞，打一开始就拍成恶搞喜剧，绝对照单全收，也不至于遭至口暴
几乎把大IP拍续作能抄的套路能踩的雷区一个不落全整上了，但是导演在电影一开头就替粉丝把能吐的槽全吐了，让人出了影院骂无可骂，真是相当鸡贼

Trinity的觉醒教育我们，女性要打破沉重的婚姻家庭枷锁，抛弃见鬼的老公孩子，摆脱贤妻良母的身份标签，放开手脚追寻真自我后，才能自由翱翔。。。当然现实里无论男人女人，绝大部分人还是被困在程序里混吃等死进行式，Trinity跟朋友说，我是不是很像她，然后被哈哈大笑时，我也挺想笑的，白日梦谁都会做，电影只是电影。
尼奥摘掉vr来到真实的世界叫艾欧，泽亚…记得有讲解提说他们所谓的真实世界也不是真的，而是系统bug集群地而已。然而虚拟世界打斗真人也会流血疼痛。也有真实情感，那么又何必非要区分虚拟与现实。而我们以为的自由意志，或者选择喜欢什么类型的人，又何尝不是多巴胺内啡肽等和DNA早就给我们编写好的呢？这部就没有讲透，感觉可能为了再出五？剧情只能三星，只是贩卖情怀，或是我欠第一部一张电影票。但是看到女主的苍老的手和他相握，我留下了人类衰老的眼泪。
除了两位主角，剩下的演职人员大多来自sense8！
看得出导演有多不想拍第四部了😂，满满的怨念，不肯走传统好莱坞俗套，所以讲了大篇幅世界观，两小时只有二十分钟是动作戏，你要说烂又感觉导演没把观众当傻子，要说不烂嘛我又看瞌睡了好几回😂一直想着咋还没完呢。
请把台词"like acids and bases, you are dangerous when mixed together"的前半句换成"like protons and antiprotons"🤦♂️🤷♂️

毫无必要的重置，除了看致敬经典毫无惊喜，当然更毫无当年革命性的惊喜。硬核的八爷武打没有了（虽然当年的武打从港片角度，演员完成了中下水平，但非常亮眼，而且具有港片本身没有的风格），只剩几个形，以及总体上好莱坞露怯式武打和运镜。基努这副John Wick造型真接受不了，Trinity真的老了啊，这手我以为都70了。史密斯重制版都变成啥了艹！
