The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 這種套娃式的荒誕太歡樂了！人在現實和虛構中的處境是荒誕而尷尬的；電影在現實和虛構中的處境也是荒誕而尷尬的。縮減到100分鐘以內比較合適，兩個多小時確實太長了，很多地方銜接得其實挺生硬的，就只能各種尬舞尬演。這部電影是對疫情下影視行業一種淺白的嘲解，荒誕熱鬧又帶幾分無奈，包含了眾多社交媒體和演員梗，放低預期當成惡搞片看會比較開心。
